It turns out the average amount of time to wait before saying "I love you" is five months. To find out how rapidly different aspects of relationships evolve, Match surveyed over 2,000 British men and women about saying "I love you" and other love milestones, like sleeping together and becoming Facebook official. The later stages of relationships generally happen quickly, with the study reporting the average couple gets engaged after two years, gets married after three, and starts a family after four.In case you're wondering when this all will happen for you, Match found that the average age people met their partners was 25 for women and 28 for men. You’ve been sleeping with him for three months and you’re not sure you’re exclusive. You’ve been boyfriend/girlfriend for six months and he hasn’t said “I love you.” You’ve been a couple for a year and a half and he’s never hinted at a future.
While you’ve made up your mind about him – you love him, and you think he’s the one – you still aren’t confident that your relationship will endure.
In fact, you might not even know if he loves you at all!
But just because he isn’t saying those three little words doesn’t mean that his love for you isn’t there.
